When you vote SV, you vote for less economic inequality and more community. A vote for SV is a vote for new green jobs and an end to oil exploration. Your vote counts towards a green and red government
Economic inequality must be reduced
The economic gaps in Norway and in Oslo has grown too large. Housing, electricity and food have become so expensive that many people dread paying their bills each month. It’s about time that people had better financial security.
SV wants:
✻ Homes for everyone. Lower the rents, help more people buy their first home, and build housing faster.
✻ Better public service. Higher child benefits and affordable dental care. Going to the dentist shouldn’t cost more than going to the doctor.
✻ Fair taxes. Lower taxes for ordinary people. Those who have the most must contribute more.
Cutting Emissions
The climate crisis is dangerous, unfair and ongoing. Every year we see more droughts, wildfires, floods and extreme weather. SV is fighting for a just green future: We will stop new oil exploration, cut emissions and create new jobs in Norway.
SV wants:
✻ An end to oil exploration and creation of green new jobs.
✻ More investment in bikes lanes, trains, buses and subways. No new motorways.
✻ To conserve valuable nature and stop deep sea mining.
Placing Children and Young People First
A society where children thrive is a society that is good for everyone. When we invest in children, we give all kids equal opportunities. Everyone should be part of a community where they can learn, succeed and feel included. SV will fight for children and youth.
SV wants:
✻ Free kindergartens with more staff and higher quality. All public money should be spent for the benefit of kids.
✻ A more inspiring public school. More staff, more physical activity and free school meals.
✻ Lower costs for sports and extracurricular leisure activities, and more jobs for young people.
International Solidarity
The world needs leaders who stand up for democracy, solidarity and cooperation. When Trump and Putin threaten, we defend democracy. When genocide threatens, we defend international law. When global inequality grows, we stand with the world’s poor.
SV wants:
✻ A free Palestine. Sanctions on Israel. The Oil Fund must not invest in occupation or violations of international law.
✻ A free Ukraine. Norway must increase its support for Ukraine’s fight for freedom.
✻Solidarity with the world’s poor. Norway must double its efforts to fight global inequality and the climate crisis.
